Adding carbon footprint to product labels

Tesco are taking steps to add the Carbon Footprint to product labels. Product will be labeled with greenhouse gas emissions per serving. Current items tested are orange juice, potatoes, light bulbs and laundry detergent.
The UK government-funded Carbon Trust provided emissions figures based on commissioned and published research.
